Updated: Mar 26

On March 21st, the Varsity team played against the Sanderson Spartans, where they won 19-5. Braiden Stannert led the scoring with 6 goals, followed by Tyler Fields with 4 goals, Carson Andrews with 3 goals, Wes Cohn with 2 goals, and Jay Cohn and Brower Everhouse scoring 1 goal each. Liam Craig and Luke Ross also scored one goal each -- their first ones for the season! Defense was solid, with 19 forced turnovers. Luke Ross (#26) commented: "It was great to get my first goal and secure the dub against Sanderson."

On the 23rd, the Jags came up against the Enloe Eagles, where it was another landslide win: 17-2. Tyler Fields was the shining star with 4 goals, which got him to his 100th career point. Congrats on reaching such an awesome milestone, Tyler!

Jay Cohn and Carson Andrews also brought in 4 goals, while Braiden Stannert had 3 goals, and Zander Adkins, Wes Cohn and Jack Danjczek had one goal each. Liam Craig went 17 out of 23 at the faceoff stripe for a 74% win percentage. And goalkeeper Kali only allowed the Eagles to put two goals into the net. According to Brower Everhouse (#7): "We could've done better in the first half but we took it home in the second!"

The JV team also had a nail-biter of a game against the Eagles, ending up in a 5-5 tie.

The Jags have a busy week coming up with Leesville on Monday, the rescheduled game with JH Rose on Wednesday, and Cardinal Gibbons on Thursday. Then they'll be heading to Wilmington the following week during their Spring Break for 2 games (versus Ashley and Laney).

KEEP ON IT, JAGS!
