May 26, 2026 – Playoffs Round 3
Final: Millbrook 14, Athens Drive 12
The Jaguars’ playoff journey came to a close in a hard-fought third-round battle against Millbrook. Athens battled from start to finish, trading momentum throughout the night and refusing to back down, but the Wildcats held on late for a 14–12 win.
Justin Stanert turned in one of the best performances of his season, pouring in 5 goals to lead the Athens offense. Jack Danjczek added 2 goals and 3 assists, continuing his steady all-around play, while Bradyn Evans contributed 2 goals and 2 assists in another strong postseason effort. Jay Cohn added 1 goal and 2 assists, and Tripp Burney chipped in an assist as the Jaguars kept the pressure on all game long.
The hustle and defensive effort never slowed down for Athens. Tripp Burney led the ground ball battle with 7 while also causing 4 turnovers in a relentless performance. Reiter Healey and Bradyn Evans each scooped up 4 ground balls, while Jack Danjczek and Francell Gonzalez added 3 apiece.
Defensively, the Jaguars were active all over the field. Francell Gonzalez and Hayes Clayton each caused 2 turnovers, and nine different Athens players recorded a caused turnover in a complete team defensive effort.
While the season ended sooner than the Jaguars hoped, this group leaves behind far more than wins and losses. They built a team that competed hard, celebrated each other, and never stopped battling, no matter the situation. For the seniors, especially, it was the final chapter in years of hard work, friendships, and memories made together in blue and orange!
