Final: Athens Drive 15, Millbrook 9


Athens Drive continued its strong start on Friday, March 20, defeating Millbrook 15–9 to improve to 2–0 in conference play and 7–0 overall.


Jay Cohn once again powered the Jaguars’ offense with 6 goals and 4 assists, while Jack Danjczek added 3 goals and 1 assist. Bradyn Evans scored 3 goals, Justin Stanert added 1 goal, and Liam Danjczek chipped in 1 goal. Tripp Burney also found the back of the net for his first varsity goal, while Harrison Baublitz contributed 2 assists and Hayes Clayton added 1 assist.


Athens also got it done in the hustle categories. Jay Cohn led the ground ball effort with 9, while Tripp Burney collected 6. Greyson Deak, Jack Danjczek, Andrew Moore, Bradyn Evans, and Harrison Baublitz each added 3 ground balls in a strong team performance.


Defensively, the Jaguars stayed active all night. Tripp Burney caused 3 turnovers, Jay Cohn added 2, and seven other Athens players each recorded a caused turnover. In goal, Brandon Patterson led the way with 9 saves and a 64.3% save percentage, while Gabe Sell also turned in a solid performance with 5 saves and a 55.6% save percentage.
