On a chilly and very wet field, the Jags were able to keep their focus in their first game of the season. It was also the 1st conference game of the season. The team was led in scoring by Reid Koonce with 8 goals and 1 assist. Daniel Kuhner took home player of the game honors with 3 goals and 8 assists! Robbie Gelsinger had a great night at the face-off X by winning 17 of 19 with 14 ground balls. He also had a goal and an assist in the contest. The entire defense was outstanding, limiting the Pirates of Riverside to only 4 shots. Jared Gursslin had 4 ground balls and 3 takeaways to lead the defense in both those categories. 12 separate Jaguars would score in this game. Besides Koonce and Kuhner, Aaron Morgan, Carter Toran, and Gabe Scranton had multi-goal games! Congrats to the Jags for a complete game!
