Jaguars Kick off Spring Season with a Win!

Last night, the varsity Athens Lacrosse Men's Team secured a solid victory against Willow Springs in the first official game of the Spring season. There was a lot of energy and excitement on the field as 7 players scored goals, resulting in a final score of 17-5. Carson Andrews led the team with 5 goals, followed closely by Jay Cohn and Caleb Deak with 3 goals each. Tyler Fields and Braiden Stannert each had 2 goals, while Jack Danycjek and Zander Adkins each had one. Other highlights include Liam Craig going 22 out of 25 at the face-off stripe, and Kalim McKinnis-Castille saying "no" to 11 attempts at goal, resulting in a 68.75% save rate.

"It was a good game to start the season and we're excited for tonight's game!," said Zander Adkins (#1).

The Jags varsity team is up against Cary HS tonight.
