In their opening game of the 2020 lacrosse season, the Jaguars shook off the rust and came away with an 8 - 5 victory. The Jags started slowly giving up 2 early goals and not finding the net themselves until Carter Toran tallied one with about 6 minutes left in the 1st quarter. Nick Waller added a 2nd goal a few minutes later and the score stayed knotted until late in the 2nd quarter when the Chargers took advantage of 2 miscues to go up 4 - 2 at the half. The Jaguars settled down in the second half and went on a run of 3 straight goals to take the lead. The Chargers tied it up on a controversial call that allowed their score despite one of their players laying in the crease. However, the defense would hold firm and the offense went on another 3 goal run to put the game away. Nick Waller finished with 4 goals, Sam Kasper with 2, Henry Moore had 10 GBs and 5 takeaways, and Zack Tucker entered goal in the 2nd half making 6 saves. The Jaguars will travel to Heritage for their next game on March 5th.
