Jaguars drop season opener to Patriots

The Jaguars began the season by traveling to the home of the Apex Friendship Patriots. The game got off to a bit of rocky start with the Patriots jumping out to a 3 - 0 lead. The Jaguars would have a run in the 2nd quarter that closed the gap to 5 - 4 Patriots. Unfortunately, the Jaguars could not overcome first game jitters, making to many mistakes, that led to the Patriots seizing the 14 - 5 victory. Bright spots for the Jags were Tyler Fields with 2 goals and 2 assists and Carson Andrews with 2 goals and 1 assist, and a 67% face-off win percentage. Myzaiah Garris notched the other goal for the Jags.
