The Jags Varsity lacrosse team showcased a display of skill, energy, and teamwork to secure a win against Northwoods Charter High School. Junior Jay Cohn was in spectacular form, leading the attack with 6 goals and 2 assists. Junior Harrison Baublitz followed closely, contributing 4 goals and an assist, keeping the momentum in the Jags' favor.
Senior Brower Evenhouse demonstrated his strategic acumen by scoring 1 goal and setting up 4 more. Senior Ryan Kuppler, along with sophomore Jack Danjczek and junior Hayes Clayton, brought a blend of stability and flair; Kuppler notched 2 goals and an assist, while Danjczek and Clayton each added a goal and an assist. Junior Bradyn Evans also capped the scoring efforts in the 4th Quarter with a goal!
On the faceoff front, Senior Liam Craig excelled with an impressive 87.5% win rate and gathered 12 ground balls. Junior Michael Wirtz maintained momentum at the face off line as well.
Goalkeeper Brandon Patterson had a solid day, with a save percentage of 66.7%, making 10 saves!
The midfield saw dynamic leadership and depth with Seniors Rashidi Abdul-Rashid, Jack Thompson, and Junior Tripp Burney playing crucial roles at defensive midfield. They, along with sophomores Greyson Deak and junior Danny Gelsinger, continued to deliver performances that thwarted Northwoods' attackers and safeguarded the lead.
This victory not only highlights the Jags' depth and resilience but also underscores their status as formidable contenders this season.
