On March 27th, the Jags Varsity lacrosse team suffered a loss against Apex High. One bright spot was Jay Cohn's surpassing Reid Koonce's long-standing record. Cohn's exceptional tally of 5 goals and 2 assists in the game pushed his career total to an impressive 181 goals, eclipsing Koonce's previous mark of 179.

Jack Danjczek continued to be a reliable contributor, adding 1 goal and 1 assist to the team's effort, demonstrating his steady presence and skill on the field. Harrison Baublitz also found the back of the net with a crucial goal, contributing to the team's overall performance.

Brower Evenhouse played a supportive role by providing an assist, helping to facilitate play and maintain the team's offensive momentum.

A standout return was made by Liam Craig at the faceoff dot. Craig won an impressive 18 faceoffs, achieving a 69.2% win percentage. His efforts did not stop there; he also scooped up 7 ground balls, pushing him past the 700 win mark for his career—a remarkable milestone.

The defensive lineup was equally formidable. Reiter Healey added 4 ground balls and forced 2 turnovers, while Jay Cohn not only excelled offensively but also contributed defensively with 3 ground balls and 2 forced turnovers. Andrew Moore and Ryan Kuppler bolstered the defense further, with Moore registering 2 ground balls and 3 forced turnovers and Kuppler securing 2 ground balls and 2 forced turnovers.

This game showcased the depth and resilience of the Athens Jags, although the result was a loss.
