Jags outlast Pinecrest Patriots!

Another Friday night home game and another game played in the rain! The field was extremely slick but the Jaguars found their footing in the 4th quarter to stop the upset bid of the Patriots. The 3 - 2 Jaguars held a 7 - 0 series record against the 1 - 3 Patriots coming into the game. The persistent Patriots would not care about those records though. They battled the Jaguars throughout the game until the Jaguars were able to put on a run of goals in the second half. Reid Koonce led the way with 6 goals and 1 assist. He also picked up 4 ground balls. Cam Grisel notched 2 goals and had 3 ground balls. Daniel Kuhner had yet another assist and 7 ground balls. That was 14 ground balls from our attack line that was active all night long! Other scoring came from Robbie Gelsinger with 1 goal and another game with a 75% win percentage at the face-off X. Ben Wakeford scored on a nifty sweep and played solid all night long. Aaron Morgan and Gabe Scranton each had a goal in the game. Duke Carroll had a great night at the face-off X, also winning 75% of his chances while picking up 5 ground balls and causing 1 turnover. Carter Toran was the "Swiss Army Knife" of the Jags as he played all over the field! His 4 ground balls and 4 caused turnovers were highlights of his efforts! The defense held when they needed to and Jack Gelsinger saved 12 shots to enhance those efforts.
