Athens Drive wasted no time taking control and never looked back, rolling to an 18–5 win over Corinth Holders in a game that showcased offensive firepower and steady play across the field.
Jay Cohn delivered one of those nights you don’t see often, 8 goals and 7 assists, commanding the offense from start to finish and piling up points in every way imaginable. Harrison Baublitz added 4 goals and 3 assists, while Jack Danjczek chipped in 3 goals and 2 assists to keep the pressure constant. Oliver Bestimt (2 goals) and Bradyn Evans (1 goal) rounded out the scoring, with Hayes Clayton adding an assist.
The Jags controlled the gritty parts of the game as well. Sam Brewer led the ground ball effort with 6, while Bradyn Evans and Greyson Deak each scooped up 4. Michael Wirt, Hayes Clayton, Reiter Healey, and Tripp Burney all added 3 apiece, helping Athens win the possession battle.
At the faceoff X, the duo of Sam Brewer and Michael Wirt kept things tilted in Athens’ favor. Brewer won 11 draws (64.7%), while Wirt went 6-for-8 (75%), giving the offense plenty of extra chances to operate.
