Jags Bring Down the Falcons

The JV and Varsity Jags came out strong on the field last night. While the teams were evenly matched, the Jags showed no intimidation and met the Falcons point-for-point -- ultimately taking the lead and winning both games.

The JV team kept things exciting up until the very end, when they clinched goal #5 and won 5-4. Harrison Baublitz, Drew Worthy, Ethan Klein, Lukas Rabon-Aguirre and Luke Ross scored one goal each. Harrison and Drew are also credited with some assists, as is Bradyn Evans.

As the sun went down and the lights came on, the varsity team showed that the 48 degree weather wasn't going to stop them from locking in another win. Apparently Falcons don't like cold weather, but it doesn't phase a Jaguar. Jay Cohn had 5 goals, followed by Tyler Fields and Carson Andrews with 2 goals each. Wes Cohn and Braiden Stanert also scored goals (1 each), bringing the final score to 11-9.

"It was very competitive and close, but we finished strong," said Isaiah Beardsley (#25).

The Jags take on the Sanderson Spartans on Tues., March 21st.
