Jags Battle but Can’t Hold Off Green Level Surge

April 15, 2026 – Loss vs. Green Level
Final: Athens Drive 4, Green Level 13
The final score may not show it, but Athens Drive went toe-to-toe with a strong Green Level squad for much of the night before things slipped away late in a 13–4 loss.
The game stayed tight through the first three quarters, with the Jags matching Green Level’s intensity and keeping things within reach. A late surge by the Gators in the fourth created the separation on the scoreboard.
Offensively, Athens saw goals from Jay Cohn (2), Hayes Clayton, and Jack Danjczek. Harrison Baublitz helped facilitate with 2 assists as the Jags worked to generate opportunities against a tough Green Level defense.
On the ground, Bradyn Evans led the effort with 5 ground balls, while Ethan Klein, Hayes Clayton, Sam Brewer, and Gabe Sell each added 3. Athens stayed active in the possession game and competed well in the middle of the field.
Defensively, Greyson Deak stood out with 5 caused turnovers, consistently disrupting Green Level’s offense. Tripp Burney and Andrew Moore each added one caused turnover to support the effort.
In goal, Gabe Sell turned in a strong performance with 15 saves, keeping the Jags in the game during several key stretches.
Next up: Athens Drive plays at home April 17 for a big-time conference showdown against Millbrook, with both teams sitting at 6–1 in conference play.
