Athens Drive turned in another strong performance on March 18 at home, defeating Leesville Road 16–4 behind a balanced offensive attack and dominant possession play.

Jay Cohn led the scoring effort with 6 goals and 4 assists, while Harrison Baublitz added 4 goals and 5 assists in a huge night for the Jaguars’ offense. Bradyn Evans recorded 4 goals, Hayes Clayton contributed 1 goal and 1 assist, and Jack Danjczek added 1 goal to round out the scoring.

The faceoff wars were won by the combo of Michael Wirt, 9 of 12 for a 75% win percentage and Sam Brewer, 7 of 10 for a 70% win percentage, giving the Jaguars a steady stream of offensive opportunities.

On the ground, Wirt also led the team with 8 ground balls, followed by Jack Danjczek with 6 and Sam Brewer with 5. Jay Cohn, Bradyn Evans, Hayes Clayton, and Andrew Moore each collected 3 ground balls. Defensively, Reiter Healey and Andrew Moore each caused 2 turnovers, while seven additional Jaguars recorded a caused turnover.

In goal, Gabe Sell shut the door in the second half, making 5 saves while allowing just one goal to help seal the win.
