The Athens Jags lacrosse team faced a tough defeat against Green Hope High School.
Jay Cohn led the scoring for Athens, netting an impressive four goals, but his standout performance was not enough to secure a win. Bradyn Evans supported the team's efforts with two goals, while Brower Evenhouse added versatility to the game with one goal and two assists. Liam Craig also contributed to the scoreboard with a goal, rounding out the team’s offensive efforts.
Liam Craig won 18 of 21 faceoffs against a formidable opponent and scooped up 11 ground balls.
On the defensive end, the Jags saw notable contributions from Jay Cohn, Ryan Kuppler, and Brower Evenhouse, who each caused three turnovers, demonstrating their defensive prowess. Harrison Baublitz was active on the field, grabbing four ground balls, while Owen Honnold caused two turnovers, contributing to the team's defensive efforts.
