Jags lose a heartbreaker in double overtime.

The Jaguars took on last year's 3A state finalist, the East Chapel Hill Wildcats, in a home game that was a thriller! The game was tight the entire time with the game tied multiple times and no team ever having more than a 2 goal lead at any time! The first overtime ended with neither team finding the net. The 2nd overtime ended when an East Chapel Hill player found a rebound and stuffed it back in. Reid Koonce and Aaron Morgan had 3 goals and 1 assist each, while James Clary also tallied 2 goals. Jared Gursslin had an outstanding game on defense as he held the Wildcats leading scorer to no goals and 1 assist. Jack Gelsinger was phenomenal in goal, saving 24 of 34 shots on goal.
