Jags end season with a loss

Updated: Apr 30, 2023

The varsity Jags lost the last game of the season against the Broughton Capitals, 20-7. It was not a pretty day to be playing, with rain having moved in and soaking the field, resulting in a lot of slipping and sliding. The JV game was canceled in order to make sure the varsity team got their time in, which was needed to get things set up for play-offs.

Unfortunately Liam Craig took a hard hit and had to leave the game in the first quarter, putting the Jags at a disadvantage. Goals were scored by Jay Cohn (3), Braiden Stanert (3) and Tyler Fields (1).

The Jags ARE in the play-offs, though -- going up against Willow Spring on May 2. Overall, the varsity team has had a great season and we will miss the seniors who are moving on to new adventures. Best of luck to everybody!
